'un'helpfull desk (pictures pulled)

Mon Jun 16, 2008, 12:14 PM
After being up in my scraps area for about 4 to 6 months, two sketches of Raven got pulled for Policy Violation. I guess someone finaly saw them that didn't like them, or a mod with a chip on their shoulder happened upon them by accident. You got to love how vague the whole Policy Violation title can be.

Might want to check out my scraps sction in case anything else that's been believed to be OK for the last few months gets pulled for.... Policy Violation.

As for me, it's back to the drawing board.

And it's funny as to how the mods are not worried about the pics/photos of things that are far worse then anything in your gallery.

I think they lay the deciting factor on if it's fan-art... or more appropriately; fan-art of American characters, as I've seen some rather risque picks of Anime/Manga fan-art. An yeah, they'll let photos that Playboy's editor wouldn't let go to print on the site here without warnings. I know they have the Adult, Mature, and General buttons, but DA's always been iffy about letting any sort of Adult art here. I guess it just lands on which mod you've got viewing your stuff.
SNAAAAAKE EYES.

You gotta love the crap shoot that we call posting fan-art on deviantART.

When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all.
I doubt the mods go looking for art to delete; they have enough work to do to investigate all of the violation reports they get.

It's highly likely someone found those posts and reported them.

As to the comment about the mods not being worried about other, "worse" stuff--the mods haven't been apprised of it yet. They can't police that of which they're unaware.

I think I know what was deleted and frankly, I don't see what the fuss was about. But then, I'm not nearly as uptight about a bit of sexyness as others appear to be.
tsk tsk tsk shame on ya, It states clearly in paragraph 12, sub section 4, on page 200,134, of book 13, revision 8, that.... ohh wait that deals with something else. Never mind ;)
Its a pitty though
Hilariously, I've never had a single one pulled from :iconnori-mature:, which is full of things horribly worse.

If I've never critiqued your work before, take it in stride. After all, I'm just trying to help, and you can always ignore/note me.
I doubt it was the mods who did that.
I mean someone once reported artwork of another artists characters, even though nothing was even showing.
Nothing sexal, vulgar, or even K+ rated, but it was removed because someone wanted it to.
Some people on here can be a little overly-sensitive sometimes
