Black Canary WarmUp by kandlin Black Canary WarmUp by kandlin
A bit more free time today, so here's another 20min drawing of Black Canary. Hair is a bit too poofy, but the face didn't turn out too bad.
Been wanting to draw the Blond Bomshell for a while now. Seriously, she rides a bike in boots and fishnest.... I mean, how hot is that!?!
Yeah.

Then let me bow to you!! Awesome pencil!! MAN!! :D :D I can't get my pencil working like that for me (even with Photoshop tweaking) without having to go over it again with ye old mouse. :P I guess I need different paper, maybe!

Just used a 6H, H and HB on regual cheap xerox paper. Messed around with the Levels (Image>Adjust>Levels) to get the darks darker, fade out the lights and get the grays to the darker area.
Just a whole lot of fiddling.

I never fiddle enough, but perhaps in my case, the pencils I'm using are too thick. I'd use up to 3B pencil on regular xerox paper. Mainly because I can hardly see the thin pencil. So at least I'm on the same page with Photoshopping! I should try some of the thinner pencils, that might actually work for me!

I tend to use pencils with thick lines, and they REALLY make a mess on my paper! Especially undersketching ones!
